HEALING

Every person holds the key to more health and wellbeing within. In the sessions I offer, we explore the positive attributes you were born with which reflects your true Soul essence. Also, we identify the negative patterns you have accumulated during this current life or have brought in from the past which are holding you back from expressing your true authentic Self.

Our body, mind and spirit naturally want to be in a state of well-being. When we are out of alignment with our Soul it may manifest in various ways. Feelings of dissatisfaction, depression, fear, grief, guilt, relationship challenges, financial scarcity and addictions are signs that we are out of balance. Also physical dis-ease like chronic pain, back issues, headaches, stomach problems and cancer to name just a few are messages that our energy system has been out of alignment for a long time.

We cannot heal what we are not aware of. In choosing to become more conscious and self-empowered we enter the path of true healing and ultimately joy and peace.

ACCOMMODATION

If you need to unwind and reset yourself, retreat to Irissa Sanctuary in the quaint Little Karoo town of De Rust at the foot of the Swartberg mountains.

Here we offer a light, airy and spacious double room with an ensuite bathroom in an informal, relaxed private home. The room is in the main house with easy access from the front door. Guests are free to use the communal kitchen and garden areas.

Enjoy the beautiful mountain views from the veranda, take a stroll down to the town center, book a healing therapy with the host, Karen or silence your mind with meditation in the tranquil garden.

ABOUT

In 1998 my life as I knew it changed unexpectedly and a whole new path of consciousness and healing opened for me.

I began studying alternative/complementary therapies and for the first time, life and its unexpected twists and turns started making sense to me.

Fast forward to 2011 my world was rocked again when both my father and life partner passed a few days apart.  During this profoundly sad time my sister and I had some experiences of seeing rainbows at unexpected times. This brought solace to us, and I now know that Spirit and our loved ones in Spirit form are always here with us.

In all cultures around the world the rainbow gives hope for the future. The rainbow colours also relate to the elctro-magnetic field around every person, animal and all living things. In art and healing colour plays a significant role.

The name Irissa Sanctuary is derived from the goddess of rainbows, Iris. In Greek mythology she is a messenger between the gods and humans. She is associated with communication, messages, the rainbow and new endeavours. The rainbow is described as the bridge between heaven and earth.

Here at Irissa Sanctuary, I invite you to take a moment to reconnect to your true self again, to find peace inside of you and to know that there is always hope.
